Clinical Hypnotherapy

Once upon a time there was a formidable captain. He sailed many seas and ventured out towards lands never seen. His conquests became legend and he ruled the tides as the greatest captain of all time.

One evening the sun began to set across the waters and the amber glow trickled along the calm waves. Nightfall seemed to come peacefully and the captain retired to his quarters relaxing with a glass of brandy and a cigar from their travels. The ocean air whispered through the open chambers and created a chorus of windy echoes. The melodic echoes arrived with trickery, as a fatal storm was creeping their way.

Satisfied with their daily travels the captain drank himself silly and hollered inaudible nonsense to the crew as he clumsily wobbled up to the bow tossed his cigar and saluted the night sky. The crew has always had fantastic results and rapport with the captain, so the captain in his inebriated state assumed that would always be the case.

Suddenly there was a silence. The loudest type of silence where one can hear their heartbeat. It was a dead calm. Startled, the captain turned back to the crew and stared with wide eyes. Suddenly a massive gust of wind ripped through the sky and knocked the captain to the ground. The crew scrambled around getting ready for the next round of attack. Screaming at the top of his lungs the captain ran around frantically shouting orders that did not seem logical.

A killer wave was starting to form a ways out, and it had its target.

Chaos and mutiny started to form as the captain and crew were not speaking the same language! Some started to follow the orders then questioned his desired outcome, others down right did not agree. The bond between them all collapsed!

What do you suppose happened?

Yes sadly they all perished. Their communication was broken and they were unable to build it back. Communication is an important thing isn’t it? Makes sense doesn’t it.

I decided to get creative in my metaphorical take on the rapport of the unconscious and conscious mind. Yes I did add brandy to the mix, but the point was clear in regards to the broken communication.  Can you guess which represents what?

Our unconscious mind runs the body, while our conscious mind guides the body.

Think about it. If we had to consciously breathe, pump blood through our veins, blink our eyes, swallow, contract/retract muscles (well you get the idea), we would be overwhelmed! Thank goodness our unconscious mind runs our body. Its main focus is preservation of the body.

Our conscious mind is reading and deciphering the words you are seeing now and everything else you do consciously.

It is very important to have your minds communicate otherwise you will have confusion, lack of focus, possible sickness and most importantly lack of rapport. Your unconscious mind is actually like a 5-7 year old child and takes directions well if communicated properly from the conscious mind.

Hypnosis puts both minds back in proper communication. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and it is a natural state. Have you ever daydreamed? Been ‘in the zone’? It is similar and very relaxing. No one can have Hypnosis done to them it is not mind control. Clients are always in control-always.

Hypnosis can assist in:

Weight Loss, Smoking Cessation, Sport Concentration, Self Confidence, Self Healing, Memory Retention-just to name a few!

Hypnotherapy helps you sail your 7 seas!!
