My video demonstrates these moves as well as several others. Even though I believe in choreography and love to see shows flowing with this, I do not teach it. First I have you follow me in instruction, then I work with you to assist in the learning process. After that I help you connect and improvise what you have just learned.
The true nature of the dance is improvisation.
Every day stress and trauma gravitates to our bodies. Usually it manifests itself in our hips and pelvis. It is crucial for women to keep this area unblocked. Belly dance is known to free up the back and pelvis which can help prevent injuries under certain circumstances by releasing stagnant energy. Dancing with the ancient techniques loosens up these areas giving you a new sense of physical awakening. The dance truly is a nourishment to your body and soul.
I work patiently with you so that you can dance with these moves freely, without judgment simply listening to the beat of your heart. That is the ancient way.
